The late Mr. Ricardo G. Vergara, a native of Apalit, Pampanga, married Lolita Oreta Vergara, a Nueva Ecijana from the small town of Cabiao and settled permanently in Sta. Ana, Manila.

Prior to the set-up of the Radar Security and Watchman Agency, Mr. Ricardo Gamboa Vergara worked as a collector of the International Security Agency under the management of his eldest brother, Arsenio G. Vergara.

In 1965, with an extensive knowledge in security operations and management, and with the support of his better-half, they were able to establish a single proprietorship type of business named Radar Security & Watchman Agency. Its first office was located at 2775 Garrido St., Sta. Ana, Manila. During that time, Mr. Ricardo G. Vergara started with a single client, the Vicar Hotel, situated right at the heart of Dagupan City and was manned by one security guard.

In 1968, his brother -in-law, Lt. Col. Epimaco V. Oreta or “Epi” as he is fondly called, was then a Senior Agent of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), assisted in the scouting of clients who were in need of security service. By chance, one of his closest friends and compadre, Mr. Tomas Aguirre Sr. sought the help of Epi to provide security services to his soon to open banking institution now known as BANCO FILIPINO SAVING & MORTGAGE BANK. Upon its opening, Radar Security & Watchman Agency, was permanently established for having a number of prestigious clients such as the Wellington Flour Mills, Commercial Motors Corporation ( sole distributor of Merceds Benz cars in the Philippines at that time) and Atlas Gloves Phil. Incorporated to name a few.

In 1974, the office moved from 2275 Garrido St., Sta. Ana, Manila to 2603 Lamayan St., Sta. Ana, Manila. The corporate office is still located at the same address up to the present.

On April 6, 1993, the founder, Proprietor and General Manager of Radar Security and Watchman Agency, unfortunately died of cardiac arrest.

On February 17, 1974, Radar Security & Watchman Agency was incorporated. It is now under the management of wife Lolita, brother-in-law Lt. Col. Epimaco V. Oreta and the three sons of the late Mr. Ricardo G. Vergara namely Reynaldo, Rolando and Ronaldo.

Radar Security & Watchman Agency, Inc. has expanded to include surveillance and detective services, armored car services, acquired assets property caretaker services and other allied services with banking institutions as our primary clients.
